VAN BUREN, Ark. – A man from Bowling Green, Kentucky, has been arrested in Arkansas following a vehicle search that uncovered a significant amount of illegal substances.

According to a statement released by the Arkansas State Police, Benjamin Joyner, aged 25, was pulled over by troopers on Wednesday, June 5. The stop took place near the two-mile marker on Interstate 40 eastbound in Crawford County after Joyner committed a traffic violation.

Upon searching the vehicle, law enforcement officers discovered 22 pounds of illegal marijuana stored in vacuum-sealed bags, approximately 3 pounds of psilocybin mushrooms, 2,400 THC vape cartridges, and 5 pounds of THC concentrate.

Joyner was promptly taken into custody and transported to the Crawford County Detention Center. He now faces multiple felony charges, including trafficking a controlled substance, possession with intent to distribute, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Authorities revealed that Joyner informed investigators he was traveling from Los Angeles, California, to Kentucky at the time of his arrest.
