A tragic incident occurred in West Mambalam, Chennai, on Thursday evening, as a 29-year-old newlywed man lost his life while setting up LED serial lights in his home. The victim, Augustine Paul, a businessman who owned a packers and movers firm in T Nagar, was preparing for his wife Keerthi’s birthday celebration when the accident happened.

The couple, who had been married for about eight months, resided on Brindavan Street in West Mambalam. Augustine Paul, in a bid to surprise his wife on her special day, was in the process of decorating their home with LED lights when he tragically got electrocuted and collapsed.

Upon discovering her husband unconscious on the ground, Keerthi immediately called for help, and family members rushed Augustine to a nearby hospital. Despite their efforts, the medical team at the hospital declared Augustine dead upon arrival.

The Ashok Nagar Police have initiated an investigation into the incident to determine the circumstances that led to the tragic electrocution. The authorities are working to gather information and evidence to understand the sequence of events that resulted in the untimely demise of Augustine Paul.

This unfortunate incident serves as a reminder of the importance of electrical safety measures when handling electronic devices and appliances. It is crucial for individuals to exercise caution and follow proper safety protocols to prevent such accidents from occurring.
