The woman identified as the suspect in the second-degree murders of three roommates found dead Tuesday, slayings that stunned neighbours in Fredericksburg, Virginia, was apprehended days later in New York after evading an attempted traffic stop, driving at speeds of 100 mph, and eventually crashing her vehicle when officers successfully disabled her tyres, authorities have revealed.

Alyssa Jane Venable, aged 23, is facing accusations of using a firearm to carry out the murders of 60-year-old Gregory Scott Powell, 65-year-old Carol Anne Reese, and 77-year-old Robert John McGuire for reasons that remain undisclosed at this time. The defendant’s grandmother mentioned in a local news interview that she believed her granddaughter could pose a threat to herself and is in urgent need of assistance.
