CHICAGO (CBS) — Two young suspects, a 14-year-old girl and an 11-year-old boy, have been charged with the robbery of two passengers on the CTA Red Line last month.

The Chicago Police Department reported that both juveniles were apprehended on Tuesday after being identified as the individuals who robbed a 62-year-old man on board a Red Line train at the Lake station around 7:30 p.m. on May 23.

Additionally, the 14-year-old girl faces charges in connection with the robbery of a 41-year-old man at the Clark/Division station on the Red Line, which occurred approximately 40 minutes prior to the incident at the Lake station.

The 14-year-old suspect has been charged with one felony count of robbery of a victim 60 years of age or older, as well as one felony count of robbery. The 11-year-old suspect is facing one felony count of robbery of a victim 60 years of age or older.

Details regarding court proceedings were not immediately available.
