PORT ORANGE, Fla. – Three teenagers are behind bars after allegedly carrying out a series of vehicle burglaries in a Port Orange neighbourhood in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Law enforcement officials responded to a call reporting suspicious behaviour in the area and discovered the teenagers in a nearby apartment complex. One of the suspects was found attempting to conceal himself under a pickup truck, according to police reports.
The individuals, aged 17, 16, and 14, all hailing from Daytona Beach, were taken into custody following the incident.

Authorities recovered a Glock handgun magazine from the suspects, prompting concerns about the potential escalation to more serious criminal activities.
The morning after the arrests, law enforcement received numerous reports from other residents in the neighbourhood indicating that their vehicles had been targeted. Subsequent investigations revealed that the same trio was responsible for those additional burglaries, police confirmed.
All three suspects have been formally charged and are currently in police custody. Due to their age, FOX 35 has opted not to disclose their identities.
