Authorities are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two individuals following a violent double-stabbing incident in east London that resulted in two victims being hospitalized. The incident, which took place in Forest Gate, Newham, on March 20, saw two male victims sustain multiple stab wounds. Despite the passage of two and a half months since the attack, no arrests have been made as police have reportedly exhausted all leads.
Scotland Yard has released shocking CCTV footage of the attack, showing two young men approaching the victims before carrying out the stabbing. The suspects are then seen fleeing towards Forest Gate Station. CCTV images of the two individuals have been made public in the hope of tracing them down.
One of the victims was quoted as saying, “The suspects then fled towards Forest Gate Station.” The injured individuals were promptly transported to a nearby hospital, where they were treated for their injuries, confirmed to be non-life threatening.
Appeal for information
Detective Constable Ben Dailey from the North East Area Sapphire team stated, “We have exhausted all lines of enquiry and we are now asking for the public’s help. It is important that these men are identified as soon as possible.”
While acknowledging the low quality of the images released, authorities believe that there is a possibility that someone might recognize the suspects. The public is urged to come forward with any information that may assist in identifying the individuals involved in the attack.
