Accident – Death – Obituary News :

An ongoing investigation by detectives at the Colleton County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) has led to the arrest of a man from the Lowcountry region in connection with a recent triple homicide. The tragic shooting, which claimed the lives of three individuals including a two-year-old girl, took place in the early hours of Saturday, May 18, 2024, at a residence on Hayden Street in Walterboro, S.C.

31-year-old Jameek Glover from Green Pond, S.C. was apprehended on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, and charged with three counts of accessory after the fact of murder. According to a statement released by CCSO, Glover is believed to have aided two co-defendants responsible for the targeted attack by providing them with transportation away from the crime scene.

The victims of the shooting have been identified as Walterboro residents Harvell Breland, 49, Alisha “Grammy” Gardner, 43, and Asiyra Saige Cole, 2. The nature of the incident has been confirmed as a deliberate and planned act of violence by law enforcement authorities.

Following the murders, detectives circulated an image of a vehicle thought to be linked to the crime, which was later traced back to Jameek Glover. Video surveillance footage and additional evidence supported the conclusion that Glover facilitated the escape of the perpetrators from the scene of the crime.

Efforts to resolve the case continue as detectives diligently work on processing evidence and pursuing the remaining individuals involved in the crime. The shooting on May 18 was part of a recent surge in criminal activities affecting Walterboro, with multiple incidents of targeted attacks reported in the city since the triple homicide.

Local authorities suspect that much of the recent violence in the area is connected to gang-related activities, with organized crime factions allegedly seeking retribution and preventing potential informants from coming forward. In addition to the shootings, the discovery of a decomposing body in a suitcase in downtown Walterboro has also prompted further investigations by the police.
