Authorities in Henry County, Alabama are currently conducting an investigation following the tragic discovery of a missing woman’s body.

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office received a report on Tuesday morning at approximately 8:00 a.m. regarding the disappearance of 39-year-old Crystal Jarvis.

Sheriff Eric Blankenship revealed that law enforcement officers immediately launched a search operation to locate Jarvis, visiting locations where she was known to frequent and reside.

Tragically, Jarvis’s remains were found in the 2500 block of Calhoun Drive just before noon on Tuesday.

While specific details surrounding Jarvis’s death have not yet been disclosed, Sheriff Blankenship confirmed that a person of interest is currently in custody on unrelated charges.

The body has since been transferred to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for a thorough autopsy to determine the cause of death.
