Accident – Death – Obituary News :
In the evening of June 4th, a tragic accident occurred on Highway 30 in Crawford County, Iowa. The Iowa State Patrol received a distressing call at around 9:51 pm, alerting them to a deadly crash that had taken place on the stretch of road west of N. Ave.
According to investigators, the incident involved a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix that was travelling eastbound on Highway 30. The vehicle lost control and collided with a 2016 Chevy Suburban that was heading in the opposite direction.
Tragically, the impact of the collision resulted in severe injuries to the driver and two passengers of the Grand Prix. Regrettably, one of the passengers, identified as 35-year-old Cory Beer from Bayard, IA, lost his life at the scene of the crash.
Additionally, the driver of the Chevy Suburban sustained injuries and was promptly transported to a nearby medical facility for treatment. Fortunately, the injuries were reported as non-life-threatening.
As the community mourns the loss of Cory Beer and supports those affected by the crash, the Iowa State Patrol is actively investigating the circumstances that led to this tragic event.
