Spotsylvania County Woman Wanted for Second-Degree Murder

Authorities in Spotsylvania County, Virginia are on the lookout for a 23-year-old woman in connection with a tragic incident that claimed the lives of three individuals in their shared residence. The suspect, identified as Alyssa Jane Venable, is wanted for second-degree murder and three counts of using a firearm while committing a felony.

The Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office was alerted to the situation when they received a call for a welfare check at a home on the 10500 block of White Street Court. Deputies arrived at the scene around 10 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4, only to discover a gruesome scene inside the residence.

Upon entering the home, law enforcement officers found two men and one woman who had all suffered fatal upper body trauma. The victims, whose identities have not yet been released, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Suspect Identified

Alyssa Jane Venable, who resided in the same home as the victims, was quickly identified as a suspect in the case. The Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office has issued a warrant for her arrest on charges of second-degree murder and firearm-related offences.
