Accident – Death – Obituary News :

Two women were apprehended this weekend after evading Colorado authorities for over two years in connection with an alleged homicide case.

Colorado law enforcement officials identified Toni M. Gurule, 43, and Suzzette M. Salyer, 42, as persons of interest in the alleged 2022 murders of two men in Fremont County. On Saturday, investigators in Fremont County alerted Mohave County authorities that Gurule and Salyer’s vehicle had been located at a residence in the Golden Shores area. The two women were considered armed and dangerous.

Given Gurule and Salyer’s history of non-compliance with law enforcement and the seriousness of their arrest warrants, SWAT teams were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, officers instructed the occupants of the home to exit, but Gurule and Salyer did not comply. Mohave County officials reported that tear gas was used by SWAT officers to ensure the women’s compliance, leading to their arrest at the property.

Gurule and Salyer were subsequently taken into custody at the Mohave County Jail, where they will remain until extradition proceedings to Colorado are initiated.

Colorado authorities had initially sought to question the two women after the bodies of 25-year-old Ryan J. Roth and 36-year-old Rodolfo Santillan-Reyes were discovered by cyclists on February 8, 2022, in a secluded area of Fremont County, Colorado.

Suspicion of foul play arose, prompting Gurule and Salyer to be interrogated in March of that year. Following their release on bail pending further investigation, the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office later identified them as prime suspects in the double homicide.
