The Sheriff of Holmes County has announced that his office is currently conducting an investigation into two separate deadly drive-by shootings that occurred recently in the area.
The first incident took place at approximately 6:30 p.m. on a Sunday in Tchula within the Gwen Community. The victim of this shooting has been identified as 18-year-old Justin Thompson.
The second shooting occurred later in the evening at around 11 p.m. on Clifton Street in Lexington. The Sheriff revealed that the victim in this case was inside a 2012 Tahoe vehicle when they were targeted and shot multiple times. The victim has been identified as 36-year-old Jamarcus Smith.
HOLMES COUNTY, Miss.
The Holmes County Sheriff’s Department is actively investigating these tragic incidents and seeking any information or leads that may aid in solving these crimes and bringing the perpetrators to justice.
