NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio — A heartbreaking tragedy unfolded at a Grocery Store in eastern Ohio on Monday afternoon, resulting in the death of a three-year-old boy who was stabbed in the parking lot.
The devastating incident took place at a Giant Eagle store in North Olmsted shortly after 3 p.m. Monday, as reported by WOIO.
Tragically, the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the child’s passing early Tuesday morning, as reported by 3News.
In addition to the young victim, the boy’s mother was also stabbed, with no update on her condition provided at this time. The child has been identified as Julian Wood.
Emergency services rushed Julian and his mother to St. John Medical Center, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries, as reported by WOIO.

According to News 5, authorities were able to locate and apprehend the suspect, 32-year-old Bionca Ellis.
Expressing deep sympathy for the victims, North Olmsted Mayor Nicole Dailey stated, “Our hearts go out to the two victims of what appears to be a random act of violence,” as reported by News 5.
Giant Eagle issued a statement to WOIO following the tragic incident on Monday evening, stating, “We are aware of the reported incident and are working with the authorities. For the moment, they (the authorities) are the best source for information.”
