A tragic incident unfolded in Brooklyn as a 12-year-old boy has been arrested and charged with manslaughter following a fatal shooting. The incident, now classified as a homicide, took place within the 73rd Precinct/Public Service Area 2 and was confirmed by authorities on Sunday.
The victim, identified as 14-year-old Josai Guy, was discovered with a gunshot wound to the chest at his residence on 80 Osborn Street. Emergency services were alerted after a 911 call was placed around 10:24 a.m. on June 2. Despite immediate transportation to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center, Guy succumbed to his injuries.
The young suspect, whose identity remains undisclosed due to his age, faces charges of manslaughter, criminal negligent homicide, and criminal possession of a weapon for recklessly causing the death of Guy. As the investigation progresses, no additional arrests have been made.
