London – A 31-year-old man, James Edward Tillman, is facing charges of two counts of aggravated assault of a family member after allegedly stabbing a woman and holding an 11-year-old girl at knife point in west Houston. The incident occurred at 1715 Enclave Parkway around 4:50 a.m. at Delray Apartments.
A preliminary investigation revealed that Tillman held the young girl at knife point in the kitchen of an apartment. The girl’s mother managed to retrieve a gun, but Tillman charged at her and cut her with the knife while attempting to take the gun. A struggle ensued, resulting in Tillman being shot in the face and lower body.
Both the woman and Tillman were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The 11-year-old girl was unharmed in the incident. The woman has since been treated and released, while Tillman remains in hospital under observation.
Tillman has been charged for his involvement in the altercation and will face the consequences of his actions in court.
