A female suspect, identified as 32-year-old Jamecia Smith, has been apprehended for her involvement in a robbery that took place at a Nike outlet in Antioch earlier this year.

According to legal documents, Smith, along with a group of six individuals, entered the Nike store located in Tanger Outlets at approximately 7:30 p.m. on March 18.

The group proceeded to remove numerous items from the shelves, with the total value of stolen merchandise estimated to be around £2,725.

Law enforcement officials reported that the suspects took as much merchandise as they could carry, paying no attention to the size of the items and instead focusing solely on the quantity.

It was revealed that the group used at least three vehicles during the theft, one of which was described as a Black Hyundai bearing a Tennessee license plate.

Further investigation uncovered that the aforementioned Hyundai was registered under Jamecia Smith’s name. Additionally, Smith was positively identified as one of the individuals captured on surveillance footage obtained from the Nike outlet.

Subsequently, Smith was taken into custody and booked at the Metro Jail on Monday, June 3. She has been charged with felony organized retail crime and burglary.

Booking records indicate that Smith was released from Metro Jail shortly before 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 4.
