A Box Elder man has been sentenced to three years in prison, followed by three years of supervised release, after admitting to assaulting a woman at his residence on the Rocky Boy’s Indian Reservation. Gabriel Evan Jordan, 26, pleaded guilty in January to assault resulting in serious bodily injury.
Court documents state that the incident took place in November 2021, when a woman, identified as Jane Doe, visited Jordan’s residence. During the visit, Jordan allegedly held her down and forced sexual contact, resulting in serious bodily injury to the victim.
The sentencing was presided over by Chief US District Judge Brian M Morris.
This case highlights the importance of taking action against perpetrators of assault and holding them accountable for their actions. It also serves as a reminder of the ongoing need to address issues of violence and abuse within our communities.
