The Henry County Sheriff’s Office has reported the arrest of a suspect in an armed robbery that took place in Eden, North Carolina. The suspect, identified as 53-year-old Bobby Dobbins, was apprehended in Collinsville, Virginia on Monday.
The incident began when the Eden Police Department received a report of an armed robbery at a Truist Bank in Eden, North Carolina. According to authorities, the suspect entered the bank, brandished a firearm at the clerk, and demanded money before fleeing with an undisclosed sum of cash. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the robbery.
Following the investigation, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office and Patrick County Sheriff’s Office collaborated with the Eden Police Department to track down the suspect. Bobby Dobbins was swiftly identified as the perpetrator and was subsequently arrested in Collinsville, Virginia.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office has issued a fugitive of justice warrant against Dobbins based on the felony robbery charge from Eden. He is currently being held at the Henry County Adult Detention Center without bond.
