At approximately 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, officers received a distress call from the 500 block of Furby Street, reporting a critically injured man at the scene. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim, identified as Abubakarr Koroma, with serious injuries. Immediate medical attention was provided to Koroma until paramedics arrived to transport him to the hospital.
Victim’s Condition
Despite efforts to stabilise his condition, Koroma’s injuries proved fatal, and he tragically succumbed to them at the hospital. The Winnipeg Police Service has classified his death as a homicide, launching an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
