Accident – Death – Obituary News : An Akasa Air flight en route from Delhi to Mumbai was forced to make an emergency landing at Ahmedabad airport in Gujarat on Monday morning following a security alert onboard, the airline spokesperson confirmed. The flight, carrying 186 passengers, including an infant, and six crew members, was identified as QP 1719.

Upon receiving the security alert, Akasa Air flight QP 1719 landed safely at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad at 10:13 am local time. The airline stated that the diversion was necessary to adhere to safety and security protocols, ensuring the well-being of all passengers and crew members on board.

This incident comes shortly after a similar security scare involving a Vistara flight from Paris to Mumbai, which received a bomb threat prior to landing at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. The flight, carrying 294 passengers and 12 crew members, landed safely in Mumbai after the threatening note was discovered on an airsickness bag.

Meanwhile, a Kolkata-bound IndiGo flight faced delays on Monday morning after a bomb threat was received by the airline’s call centre in Thuraipakkam, Chennai. The aircraft was moved to an isolated bay for security checks, causing a two-hour delay in departure.

In a separate incident, an IndiGo flight from Varanasi to New Delhi was also targeted with a bomb threat, which was later deemed a hoax by the authorities. The passenger, identified as Vimal Kumar from Meerut, was interrogated after his wife falsely claimed he was carrying a bomb in his handbag. The airline followed standard operating procedures, ensuring the safety of all passengers and crew members.

These recent security alerts highlight the importance of vigilance and adherence to safety protocols in the aviation industry. Airlines continue to prioritize the safety and security of passengers and crew members, responding swiftly to any potential threats that may arise during flights. With stringent security measures in place, passengers can rest assured that their safety is the top priority for airlines operating in the region.
