On January 26, Primera police, along with Homeland Security Investigations, executed a search warrant at a residence on Kika De La Garza Circle. Camarillo-Jimenez was arrested at the residence and taken to the police department for questioning.

During the interview, Camarillo-Jimenez admitted to videotaping a child while they were being “touched,” although the child was clothed, as stated in a criminal complaint.

“Camarillo stated it was many years ago and he believed the video may still be in the residence, but he was unsure exactly where it was located,” the document revealed.

While searching the property, agents discovered homemade videos showing a man sexually abusing a child who appeared to be around 8 or 9 years old. The child was identified as the same individual who had previously reported to Primera police that she had been sexually abused as a child, the complaint added.

Authorities further confirmed that Camarillo-Jimenez was the individual recording himself abusing the child.

At a press conference in January, Primera Police Chief Manuel Trevino praised the victim for her courage in coming forward to authorities.

“Our objective here is not only to make the arrest and build a strong case, whether at a state or federal level, but also to assist the victim in beginning their healing process. We understand that it’s a small step for them, but we aim to initiate that healing journey. It’s our top priority,” Trevino stated.

Camarillo-Jimenez remains in federal custody without bond.
