Accident – Death – Obituary News :
A man from Metro Detroit has been taken into custody in relation to a shooting incident that occurred over the weekend at an Olive Garden restaurant in Midland, which resulted in a woman being injured, according to the Midland Police Department.
The incident took place at approximately 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Olive Garden located on Eastman Avenue. Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered that the suspect, a 41-year-old man from Westland, was still present inside the establishment.
Despite initial resistance, the suspect was eventually apprehended by law enforcement personnel. Simultaneously, it was revealed that a 41-year-old woman from Saginaw had sustained a gunshot wound to the neck during the altercation. She was promptly transported to MyMichigan Medical Center for medical treatment, although her current condition remains undisclosed.
Authorities have indicated that the shooting is believed to have arisen from “an isolated, domestic related incident.” The Westland man is currently being held at the Midland County Jail as he awaits arraignment.
