The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is currently conducting an investigation into a homicide that took place on 29th May on the unit block of Hanover Place, NW.
According to MPD records, officers were called to the scene following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered a man in the street with gunshot wounds. Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The victim has been identified as 34-year-old Maurice Downing.
MPD is offering a reward to individuals who provide information leading to the apprehension and conviction of the individual or individuals responsible for each homicide in the District.
