Accident – Death – Obituary News : In a shocking turn of events, breaking news from Greensboro reveals that the police have apprehended a man in connection with a murder case. The suspect, Marlo High, was arrested for the death of Eric Burdon, who was tragically found deceased at a residence on Durham Street in March of 2023. High is currently being held without bond at the Guilford County Jail in Wilkes County.

Adding to the unsettling news, a former teacher and coach, David Gregory, is facing a slew of charges, totaling more than 20, for allegedly engaging in sexual activities with students. Court documents indicate that the accusations against Gregory date back to 2006. The Wilkes County School District has confirmed that Gregory had been employed with them since 2005, working at both North Wilkes Middle and High Schools. He was suspended without pay on May 1st and subsequently resigned on Friday.

Meanwhile, in Winston-Salem, authorities have issued a warrant for murder in connection with the death of a man at Salem Lake Park earlier this year. Jerry Howard was initially taken into custody in April in Patrick County, Virginia, in relation to the passing of Rodney Adams, Jr., who was found unresponsive at the park in March and later succumbed to his injuries. The charges against Howard have since been upgraded, and he is currently in custody in Virginia awaiting extradition back to North Carolina.

Additionally, agents and investigators from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are conducting post-blast training for law enforcement officials. In a separate incident in Randolph County, a man has been arrested in connection with a deadly overdose that occurred in 2023. On January 31, 2023, deputies responded to a possible overdose on Lark Drive in Denton. Following an extensive investigation, Dustin Moffitt was identified as a person of interest and subsequently charged with death by distribution. Moffitt, 39, was apprehended on May 29 and also faces charges for carrying a concealed weapon, with a secured bond set at $202,000.
