A tragic incident unfolded in Mumbai, Maharashtra, as the 27-year-old daughter of Indian Administrative Service officers took her own life, the police confirmed on Monday.
The young woman, identified as Lipi, reportedly jumped from the 10th floor of their government accommodation at Nariman Point in south Mumbai around 4 am. Despite immediate medical attention at GT Hospital, Lipi was declared dead upon arrival.
Lipi was pursuing her LLB studies in Sonipat, Haryana, and was reportedly feeling overwhelmed by academic pressure. It is said that she left a suicide note, expressing that no one should be held responsible for her decision.
The Mumbai Police have registered an unnatural death case at Cuffe Parade Police Station and are conducting further investigations into the matter. Details surrounding the incident are still unfolding.
