TYLER, Texas (KETK) – A 21-year-old individual, identified as Jose Bravo Jr. from Tyler, was taken into custody last week on charges of intoxication manslaughter in relation to a tragic incident that occurred in Smith County back in March, resulting in the loss of two lives.

According to reports, Bravo Jr. confessed to authorities that he had consumed alcohol prior to the collision on FM 2767.

Details of the Incident

On March 24, a single-vehicle accident took place on FM 2767, situated northeast of CR 387 in Smith County. The crash involved a red 2009 Mercedes-Benz C-350 that was travelling southwest on the road and allegedly swerved in an attempt to avoid hitting a dog, ultimately losing control.

Subsequently, the vehicle veered off the roadway, overturned across multiple private driveways, and resulted in the ejection of three individuals.

Tragic Outcome

Tragically, one of the passengers in the vehicle, identified as Jose Bravo Delgado, was pronounced dead at the scene, while another passenger, identified as Santa Lucia Bravo, was rushed to a local medical facility where she passed away a couple of days later.

Blood Alcohol Content Findings

Following the incident, Bravo Jr. underwent a voluntary blood test, with results indicating a blood alcohol concentration of 0.107 grams per 100 milliliters of blood, as per his arrest warrant.

Subsequently, Bravo Jr. was taken into custody on May 27 and was later released on bond after posting a bail amount of $100,000 the following day.
