Accident – Death – Obituary News : A tragic crash in Fairfield County, Bridgeport, has left two individuals dead and one injured. The incident took place on Sunday, June 2, at around 6:20 p.m. at the intersection of Stratford Avenue and Edwin Street.
Sgt. Darryl Wilson of the Bridgeport Police Department reported that responding officers found two individuals lying on the ground near the intersection. Both victims were severely injured and unresponsive. They were promptly given medical assistance and transported to Bridgeport Hospital Medical Center by AMR.
The Bridgeport Police Serious Crash Team and the Southern Fairfield County Traffic Unit were called to the scene for further investigation. Preliminary findings suggest that a 2012 black Chevy Equinox was heading south on Bishop Avenue when it attempted to make a left turn onto Stratford Avenue. The Equinox collided with a 2004 black Suzuki GSX-R1000 motorcycle travelling east on Stratford Avenue. The impact caused the motorcycle to crash into a parked 2014 white Dodge Ram 1500.
The motorcycle was being operated by 32-year-old Carlos Jean Parra Rodriquez from Stratford, with 21-year-old Deivi Suarez from Allentown, Pennsylvania, as the passenger. Tragically, both individuals succumbed to their injuries while at the hospital.
The driver of the Equinox, an 18-year-old resident of Bridgeport, escaped unharmed. However, the 15-year-old passenger sustained minor injuries and received treatment at Bridgeport Hospital Medical Center.
