An unidentified male body was discovered on a footbridge in Caloocan City on Sunday, June 2, according to the Caloocan City Police Station (CCPS). The man, believed to be aged between 40 and 50, was found wearing a red shirt, shorts, and red slippers. The grim discovery was made at 7 a.m. on the EDSA A. De Jesus footbridge along EDSA Southbound in Barangay 87, Caloocan City.

Upon receiving a report from a concerned citizen, CCPS personnel swiftly responded to the scene. The lifeless body was found by the operatives, prompting an immediate investigation into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.

Witnesses to the incident, Alfredo Aguilar, 68, and Jaycee Doctor, 41, who reside in the vicinity, identified the deceased as alias “Pogi.” They noted that the man appeared to be distressed, though the reasons for his apparent distress remain unknown.

The authorities have committed to conducting a thorough follow-up investigation to ascertain the man’s identity and reach out to his next of kin. The deceased’s body has been transferred to Ezequel Funeral Service for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
