PHOENIX — Tragedy struck in north Phoenix late Saturday night, as two men lost their lives in an apparent murder-suicide incident. The Phoenix Police Department received a distressing call around 11:15 p.m. reporting a man who had been shot in the area of Tatum Boulevard and Greenway Road.
The caller, identified as the girlfriend of one of the victims, informed the authorities that her boyfriend had sustained a gunshot wound. To add to the horror, she also heard another gunshot emanating from inside the residence.
Upon arriving at the scene and securing the area, law enforcement officers made their way into the home, where they made a grim discovery. They found two lifeless bodies, later identified as 44-year-old Ryan Liming and 55-year-old James Quinn, both of whom had succumbed to gunshot wounds.
Evidence suggests that Liming and Quinn had been embroiled in a heated dispute earlier on Saturday evening, which tragically escalated into a fatal encounter. Quinn is suspected of shooting Liming before turning the gun on himself, leading to the tragic loss of both lives.
The authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this heartbreaking incident, as they strive to uncover more details and provide closure to the families and loved ones affected by this senseless act of violence.
