Ra Fet Faces 7 Charges, Including 3 Felonies, After Allegedly Kidnapping Woman in Portland
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Ra Fet, a 25-year-old man, is currently facing a total of seven charges, including three felonies, after allegedly kidnapping a 47-year-old woman in Portland, Oregon, in the early hours of Friday, according to police reports.
The distressing incident unfolded around 1:40 a.m. when Fet purportedly spotted the woman near SE 146th and Division and offered her a ride home. However, as they reached SE 112th, the situation took a dark turn when the woman attempted to exit the vehicle. Unfortunately, Fet reportedly accelerated the car, preventing her from leaving.
Amidst the chaos, the woman fought back against Fet, who allegedly responded by physically assaulting her, including punching her in the face. Despite the horrific situation, the woman managed to brave an escape by “jumping out of the moving car” and fleeing the scene, sustaining injuries in the process.
Following her escape, the woman sought refuge and assistance, leading to police involvement. Authorities swiftly located her hiding in a nearby driveway, where she received medical attention for her cuts and bruises.
Approximately 40 minutes later, law enforcement spotted Fet’s vehicle and successfully apprehended him. He was subsequently taken into custody and booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of kidnapping, sex abuse, coercion, menacing, assault, reckless driving, and reckless endangerment.
