The incident unfolded around 1:40 a.m. when the man, identified as Ra Fet, encountered the woman near SE 146th and Division and offered her a ride home. However, when they reached SE 112th, the woman attempted to exit the vehicle, but Fet allegedly accelerated and prevented her from leaving.
Authorities stated that as the woman struggled to escape, Fet reportedly punched her in the face. Despite the assault, the woman managed to jump out of the moving car and seek refuge in a nearby driveway.
Police responded to the woman’s cries for help and found her hiding, injured with cuts and bruises. She was subsequently treated for her injuries.
About 40 minutes later, law enforcement located Fet’s car and successfully apprehended him. He was taken into custody and booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of kidnapping, sex abuse, coercion, menacing, assault, reckless driving, and reckless endangerment.
