PORTLAND, Ore. — A 25-year-old man, identified as Ra Fet, is facing a slew of charges following an alleged kidnapping incident involving a 47-year-old woman in Portland, Oregon. The disturbing incident unfolded in the early hours of Friday, with Fet now facing a total of seven charges, including three felonies.
The ordeal reportedly began around 1:40 a.m. when Fet encountered the woman near SE 146th and Division. Offering her a ride home, the situation quickly took a dark turn when they reached SE 112th. It was at this point that the woman attempted to exit the vehicle, only to find herself trapped as Fet accelerated, preventing her escape.
During the ensuing struggle, Fet allegedly resorted to violence, striking the woman in the face as she fought back. Eventually, the woman managed to leap from the moving vehicle, sustaining injuries in the process. She sought refuge in a nearby driveway, calling out for help as she awaited assistance.
Approximately 40 minutes later, law enforcement officers located Fet’s car and successfully apprehended him. Subsequently, Fet was taken into custody and booked at the Multnomah County Jail on charges of kidnapping, sex abuse, coercion, menacing, assault, reckless driving, and reckless endangerment.
The victim, who suffered cuts and bruises as a result of the ordeal, received medical treatment for her injuries. Meanwhile, the investigation into the incident remains ongoing, with authorities urging anyone with pertinent information to come forward and assist in the case.
