PHOENIX – One man has tragically lost his life, and another individual is behind bars following a shooting incident that occurred overnight in north Phoenix.
The tragic event unfolded at a bus stop located near Tatum Boulevard and Union Hills Drive.
The victim has been identified as Nathan Page, aged 49, who was fatally shot after an altercation at the aforementioned bus stop.
Upon the arrival of law enforcement officers, Page was discovered with a gunshot wound and was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Eyewitnesses and surveillance footage obtained from a nearby convenience store played a crucial role in identifying a suspect believed to reside in the vicinity.
Subsequent investigations and evidence led to the apprehension of 31-year-old Arbron Mehaj, who has since been taken into custody and booked at the Maricopa County Jail on charges of second-degree murder.
Authorities have confirmed that the case remains under active investigation with ongoing efforts to gather further details.
