A 34-year-old man from Lake Elsinore is currently in custody on suspicion of selling narcotics in Riverside County. Mauricio Hernandez-Estrada was arrested after deputies received information about narcotics sales in Lake Elsinore and Wildomar in November 2023.
According to Sgt. Jarrod Meissen, Hernandez-Estrada was identified as the suspect during the investigation. Although he was arrested three times for alleged violations related to narcotics sales, it remains unclear why he was released each time.
Collaborative Efforts Lead to Federal Indictment
Deputies worked in collaboration with members of the Inland Violent Crime Suppression Task Force to obtain a federal indictment against Hernandez-Estrada. The arrest took place on Thursday, following which deputies reportedly found evidence indicating possession with intent to distribute narcotics.
During the arrest, law enforcement officers seized approximately 120 grams of fentanyl, 200 grams of methamphetamine, 61 grams of heroin, 217 Xanax pills, and 42 oxycodone pills. Hernandez-Estrada was subsequently taken to a federal detention holding facility under the indictment.
