The State police command, through its spokesperson, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed the arrest of Anthony Chima following the sudden disappearance of an Uber driver named Oghenevwarhe Akpobome. Iringe-Koko revealed that the suspect confessed to being part of a gang that specialized in luring cab drivers, stealing their vehicles, and committing heinous acts for ritualistic purposes and organ harvesting.

According to Iringe-Koko, the investigations unveiled a dark criminal enterprise targeting Uber drivers in the region. Chima’s testimony exposed the recruitment process into the gang, led by a notorious figure known as “General Effizy,” who is associated with the Greenland cult and is a seasoned kidnapper.

The chilling details of Akpobome’s demise emerged as Chima narrated the events leading to the driver’s murder. The suspect’s confession led to the recovery of the victim’s skull and a locally fabricated Beretta pistol from Effizy’s residence, further solidifying the case against the gang.

In response to these shocking revelations, the State Commissioner of Police, Olatunji Disu, urged citizens and Uber drivers to exercise caution when accepting passengers, especially in remote or potentially dangerous areas. The ongoing investigation aims to locate and apprehend the remaining suspects involved in this gruesome criminal enterprise.

The case serves as a stark reminder of the dangers that exist within communities and highlights the importance of collaboration between law enforcement and the public in ensuring the safety of all citizens. The suspect, Anthony Chima, is set to face charges in court as the police continue their efforts to bring justice to the victims and their families.
