Accident – Death – Obituary News :

A tragic incident unfolded in Pleasant Hill Park, as a man was found dead with stab wounds in the parking lot. The victim, Santiago Jacobo, 37, from Pittsburg, was a janitor at the park and was discovered lifeless after finishing his shift on the morning of February 10. The Pleasant Hill Police Department revealed that Jacobo was involved in a complex love triangle that ultimately led to his demise.

Investigators determined that Jacobo was romantically involved with 24-year-old Vanessa Vera-Aguilar from Antioch. However, complications arose as 31-year-old Concord resident Pablo Gutierrez-Morales also had feelings for Vera-Aguilar. The situation escalated when Vera-Aguilar, Gutierrez-Morales, and a 25-year-old Antioch woman named Jazmin Ruiz plotted and carried out the deadly attack against Jacobo.

Tragically, Jacobo’s wife discovered his lifeless body at around 4:50 a.m. on February 10 when he failed to return home after his shift. The connection between the suspects and the victim was revealed as they all worked together at a retirement home called The Watermark at San Ramon. Following intensive investigations, Pleasant Hill police arrested all three suspects on charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder. Vera-Aguilar, Gutierrez-Morales, and Ruiz are currently held at the Contra Costa County Jail.
