Accident – Death – Obituary News : The Navi Mumbai Police made a significant breakthrough on Saturday by apprehending four members of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang who were allegedly plotting to launch an attack on Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s car in Panvel, according to a report by ANI.
Sources indicate that the gang members had devised a plan to procure weapons from a Pakistani arms supplier. A first information report has been filed against more than 17 individuals, including Lawrence Bishnoi, Anmol Bishnoi, Sampat Nehra, and Goldy Brar. The police have stated that further investigation into the matter is currently underway.
The arrested suspects have been identified as Dhananjay, also known as Ajay Kashyap, Gaurav Bhatia, alias Nahvi, Waspi Khan, alias Wasim Chikna, and Rizwan Khan, alias Javed Khan, as confirmed by police officials.
This development comes in the wake of a prior incident where two unidentified assailants on a motorcycle fired multiple rounds outside Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai’s Bandra on April 14. The culprits, Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, were subsequently apprehended in Gujarat. Another suspect, Anuj Thapan, was arrested on April 26 from Punjab, along with another individual linked to the case. Tragically, the third accused, Thapan, passed away on May 1 while in custody at the Mumbai police’s crime branch.
In response to escalating threats from gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar, Salman Khan’s security level was upgraded to Y-Plus in November 2022. The actor has been granted permission to carry a personal firearm and has invested in an armoured vehicle for heightened protection.
In a separate incident last year, an email containing threats against the 58-year-old actor was sent to his office, prompting the Mumbai Police to lodge an FIR against Lawrence Bishnoi, Goldy Brar, and another individual under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including criminal conspiracy and criminal intimidation.
The FIR was lodged following a complaint filed by Prashant Gunjalkar with the Bandra Police. Gunjalkar, who frequently visited Khan’s Bandra residence and operated an artist management company, took decisive action to ensure the safety and security of the beloved Bollywood icon.
With the assistance of law enforcement agencies, Salman Khan continues to navigate the challenges posed by criminal elements, demonstrating resilience in the face of adversity.
