In a shocking revelation, the Navi Mumbai police have uncovered a second plot by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang to target Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. This comes after the recent arrest of two shooters outside Khan’s Bandra house in April. According to a Panvel police FIR copy, the notorious gang had planned to execute another attack on Khan, this time at his Panvel farmhouse.
Details of the Plot
The jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, along with his Canada-based cousin Anmol Bishnoi and accomplice Goldy Brar, were allegedly behind the conspiracy to eliminate Salman Khan. The trio had planned to acquire sophisticated weapons, including an AK-47, M-16, and AK-92, from a supplier based in Pakistan. The objective of the attack was reportedly to target Khan’s vehicle or storm his farmhouse.
Investigators are still puzzled as to why a second plan was put into motion to fire at the actor’s Bandra residence. The gang’s vendetta against Khan stems from his involvement in the killing of a blackbuck in Rajasthan during the filming of a movie back in 1998.
Arrests and Investigations
Navi Mumbai police recently apprehended four individuals connected to the earlier plot and are on the lookout for approximately 15-20 other members of the Bishnoi gang who had been residing near Khan’s farmhouse since February this year. The arrested suspects have been identified as Dhananjay Tapesingh (Ajay Kashyap), Gaurav Bhatia (Nahvi), Vaspi Khan (Waseem Chikna), and Rizwan Khan (Javed Khan).
The conspiracy came to light when senior inspector Nitin Thackeray received a tip-off regarding a group planning an attack on Khan’s farmhouse. Earlier, Mumbai police had arrested four suspects – Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal in Gujarat, and Anuj Thapan and another individual in Punjab on April 26. While six arrests have been made in total, Anuj Thapan tragically passed away in police custody.
