A man believed to be involved in an attempted robbery on a businesswoman in Sophia is currently recovering after being shot by a security guard.
According to authorities in Regional Division #4’A’, the incident took place at ‘Good Luck’ supermarket, owned by 22-year-old Zheng Siyi. The attempted robbery occurred on Thursday at around 4.50 pm and involved two individuals, one of whom was armed with a handgun.
One of the suspects has been identified as Oniel Batson, a 23-year-old resident of D’Urban Street in Lodge, Georgetown.
Attempted robbery foiled by vigilant guard
