Mustafa Ahmed Mohamed : Police ID shooter in Minneapolis police shooting

MINNEAPOLIS, MN.– Mustafa Ahmed Mohamed has been identified as the third fatality at the scene of a tragic shooting incident in Minneapolis this week, according to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s office.

Reports from the police indicate that Mohamed, aged 35, was responsible for the fatal shooting of Officer Jamal Mitchell during an emergency response in Minneapolis. In addition to Officer Mitchell, civilian Osman Said Jimale, 32, lost his life in the incident. Two other civilians sustained injuries, with one in critical condition.

It has been revealed that Mohamed had a criminal history, having been convicted of first-degree burglary in 2007, which made him ineligible to possess a firearm. Furthermore, court documents show that Mohamed was involved in a 2022 robbery incident in downtown Minneapolis, where he was caught carrying a gun and subsequently arrested.
