Four individuals, including two young boys, from a family were tragically killed in a violent attack by their rivals in Chanko Phatak on the Indus Highway in Bakhshapur, Kandhkot district. The incident, which occurred on Friday, stemmed from an ongoing dispute related to a rejected marriage proposal involving the victims’ family.
The victims, who were on their way to attend a wedding ceremony on motorcycles, were ambushed by their assailants who were waiting for them on the roadside. The attackers, also on motorbikes, opened fire on the family members before fleeing the scene towards a riverine area.
Local authorities swiftly responded to the crime and transported the deceased to a nearby hospital for post-mortem examinations. The victims, all members of the same family, were identified as Majid Bhangwar, Shaukat Bhangwar, Shabeer Ahmed Bhangwar, and his son Shabaan Bhangwar. Following the completion of medico-legal procedures, the bodies were released to the relatives.
Law enforcement officials cordoned off the area and initiated a search for the alleged attackers, who managed to escape before they could be apprehended. The incident is believed to have stemmed from a long-standing dispute over marriage-related issues between two rival factions of the Bhangwar clan.
Clash in Moro Village Leaves Two Dead
In a separate incident in a village near Moro, two individuals lost their lives in a clash between two groups belonging to the Bughio community. The altercation, which erupted over a matrimonial dispute, resulted in the deaths of Fayyaz Bughio and Mukhtiar Bughio at Trimor stop.
Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement officers promptly transferred the bodies to Moro taluka hospital for further examination through an autopsy.
These tragic events serve as a grim reminder of the importance of resolving disputes peacefully and upholding the sanctity of human life.
