PORT GIBSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Authorities have made a significant breakthrough in the investigation into the 2023 shooting death of Carl McDaniel in Port Gibson, with the recent arrest of a fourth suspect.
Jamarrious Hamilton, a resident of Port Gibson, was apprehended on Thursday, May 30 by agents from the U.S. Marshal’s Service and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI), as reported by Vicksburg Daily News.
The tragic incident took place on Chinquepin Street in Port Gibson on January 15, 2023, resulting in the untimely death of Carl McDaniel, whose lifeless body was discovered inside a pickup truck at the scene.
Robert Mays was previously charged with first-degree murder in connection to the case, along with Natasha McDaniel, the victim’s wife, who was also implicated in the crime.
Following intensive investigations, Justin Bailey, another Port Gibson resident, was arrested in February 2023 in connection to the fatal shooting.
The recent arrest of Jamarrious Hamilton marks a significant development in the case, as law enforcement officials continue to work tirelessly to bring all those responsible for this heinous crime to justice.
