The investigation into the incident was initiated on February 9 when a man sought treatment at Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital in Dover after being assaulted in what was described as a road rage altercation.

Details of the Incident: Following a driving altercation, three individuals are set to face court proceedings after a violent confrontation resulting in bodily harm, leading to the victim undergoing surgery.

The victim, a 53-year-old resident of New Philadelphia, reported that while driving west on West High Avenue, a driver in a white Chevrolet pickup truck obstructed his path as he proceeded south on 16th Street SW. The victim honked and flashed his headlights in frustration. The situation escalated, with the driver of the white pickup truck tailing the victim to his residence, where he stopped.

According to the Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office, a physical altercation ensued, during which the victim was subjected to repeated punches and kicks before the assailants fled the scene. Three other individuals, passengers in the truck, were also involved in the attack. The victim sustained severe facial injuries and underwent multiple surgeries to address the damage.

Following the investigation, Shaw and Levengood were identified as the main culprits in the assault, as confirmed by the sheriff’s office.

The two accused men are scheduled to appear in Tuscarawas County Court on June 26 to face charges related to the incident.
