Hyderabad: In distressing and alarming incidents, two nine-year-old boys recently took their own lives in separate incidents in Telangana.
One of the incidents occurred in Warangal, where a nine-year-old boy tragically ended his life after being scolded by his mother for venturing out in the scorching sun.
Rakesh, a constable from Duggondi police station, shared that Siddhu, a resident of Maisampally village, was discovered hanging at approximately 11 am on Thursday by his mother.
After instructing her son not to go outside, the mother left for some errands. Upon her return, she was devastated to find Siddhu hanging lifeless.
A report was filed by the victim’s uncle at Dungondi police station, and an investigation is currently underway to ascertain the circumstances surrounding Siddhu’s tragic decision.
In another heartbreaking incident, a different nine-year-old boy reportedly took his own life after his father refused to permit him to have a trendy haircut he had requested. This heart-wrenching event unfolded in Chinthagudem village, Gangaram mandal, Mahabubabad district on May 26.
The young boy, identified as E Harsha Vardhan and a student at Seethanagram government school, had desired a specific hairstyle that was in vogue during the summer break. Unfortunately, his father, Kantha Rao, a farmer, did not approve of his choice. Devastated by this rejection, Harsha Vardhan consumed pesticide, leading to his untimely demise.
