Kalu alias Salim Khan : “Wedding Kidnapping: Man with Sword Tries to Abduct Raped Woman”

An appalling incident unfolded in Madhya Pradesh’s Ashok Nagar as a 22-year-old woman was targeted for abduction during her wedding ceremony. The primary suspect, identified as Kalu alias Salim Khan, had previously subjected the woman to sexual assault, circulated a derogatory video of her, and proceeded to launch a violent attack on her family as she prepared to marry another man.

The distressing episode transpired at approximately 6 pm when Kalu, accompanied by his associates Jodha, Sameer, and Shahrukh, forcibly entered the woman’s residence. In a bid to resist the abduction, she was met with physical aggression from the assailants, resulting in her father sustaining a broken leg, her brother suffering an arm injury, and her mother enduring severe physical harm. The perpetrators brandished swords and iron rods as they forcibly removed the woman from her home.

The commotion attracted the attention of bystanders, prompting a gathering of concerned individuals. Despite initial threats issued by the accused towards the onlookers, they eventually retreated from the scene as the crowd swelled, abandoning the woman in the process. Amidst the chaos, both the woman’s family and the family of her betrothed were subjected to further intimidation by the offenders.

Initially met with reluctance, the local authorities eventually registered the case following intervention from members of a local Hindu group late on Wednesday night. Complaints lodged by both the woman and her father prompted the filing of charges against the perpetrators.
