In a tragic incident in New Delhi, a 25-year-old man named Johar Abbas was brutally stabbed to death by unidentified assailants in the Shastri Park area of the national capital, as confirmed by the local police authorities on Friday.
Residing in Shastri Park, Delhi, Johar Abbas was found with multiple stab wounds on various parts of his body including the forehead, wrist, and chest. Despite being rushed to Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) for North East Delhi, Joy Tirkey, provided details of the incident stating, “We received a distress call at 11:50 pm regarding a murder case in the Shastri Park area on Thursday night. The victim, Johar Abbas, was discovered on the service road near Shastri Park Chowk. The motive behind the murder is currently under investigation, and we are working diligently to apprehend the perpetrators.”
According to reports, Abbas had returned to Delhi after a month and had gone out to attend a relative’s wedding. Later that evening, a group of 4-5 men arrived at his residence, leading to Abbas being taken away. The police were alerted when his lifeless body was found on the service road.
The body of Johar Abbas has been sent for further examination, and the authorities are actively pursuing leads to capture those responsible for this heinous crime.
