Officers from the Plymouth Police Department carried out a routine traffic stop on U.S. 30 and Plymouth Goshen Trail on the evening of May 29th. The reason for the stop was a vehicle that was observed exceeding the speed limit in the area.

Speeding Violation

Officer Fisher, who was on duty at the time, recorded a driver from Chicago travelling at 78 MPH in a 60 MPH speed zone. The driver was later identified as 24-year-old Jhony Cruz Bolanos.

Driving Without a License

Upon further investigation during the traffic stop, it was revealed that Bolanos had never obtained a valid driver’s license. As a result, he was promptly taken into custody by the officers and transported to Marshall County Jail.

Legal Proceedings

At 6:43 p.m., Bolanos was officially booked for driving without a license. However, his cash bond was paid at 7:34 p.m., leading to his release on bond shortly after. It is important to note that all individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
