Cody Cunningham : “Fatal Motorcycle Accident on I-64 in Louisville: Victim Identified”

A tragic incident unfolded on Tuesday as a motorcyclist lost his life after colliding with a concrete barrier on westbound Interstate 64 in Louisville. The rider, identified as 23-year-old Cody Cunningham, succumbed to his injuries from the crash, as confirmed by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.

The fatal accident occurred when Cunningham, along with two other motorcyclists, were reportedly speeding at a dangerously high rate along the interstate. Authorities from the Louisville Metro Police Department were alerted to the scene following multiple emergency calls at around 3 p.m. that day.

According to LMPD spokesperson Matt Sanders, Cunningham was ejected from his motorcycle upon impact and plummeted 30 feet before landing in a parking lot near the Frazier History Museum on Washington Street. Despite immediate medical attention, Cunningham was pronounced dead at the scene.

Fortunately, no other individuals sustained injuries in the incident, and the remaining motorcyclists involved in the crash cooperated fully with the LMPD’s traffic unit, which has taken charge of the ongoing investigation.
