Chatham-Kent, Ontario – On the evening of May 28, 2024, the Intelligence Unit of the Chatham-Kent Police Service apprehended a 27-year-old man on Wellington Street East in Chatham. The arrest came after the man was identified as a suspect in four separate commercial break and enter cases.

Following his arrest, the man was taken to police headquarters and held in custody pending a bail hearing. After the hearing, he was remanded into custody until his next court appearance scheduled for June 4, 2024.

Further investigations by the police revealed that the arrested individual was connected to several other commercial break and enter incidents in the Chatham area. In total, he has been linked to eight separate cases that occurred between April 22, 2024, and May 27, 2024.

As a result of these findings, the man is now facing multiple charges, including possession of a stolen credit card, theft, two counts of possession of stolen property, and eight counts of break and enter.
