Mumbai Police Arrest

The Mumbai Police made a significant arrest on Friday, apprehending a man from Uttar Pradesh for allegedly making a threatening call to the police control room. The call specifically targeted two prominent landmarks in Mumbai – the iconic Taj Mahal Palace Hotel and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.

The suspect, identified as Arvind Rajput, is currently under police custody as investigations into the motive behind the hoax bomb threat continue. Upon his arrest, his mobile phone was seized for further examination.

The incident unfolded on May 27 when the Mumbai Police received a distressing call alerting them to a potential bomb threat at the Mumbai International Airport and Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. In response, law enforcement promptly conducted thorough searches at both locations but found no evidence of any explosives.

This is not the first instance of such a hoax bomb threat in Mumbai. Just a few months earlier, in March, a 42-year-old individual was arrested for falsely claiming there was a bomb at Akasa Air. His motive was reportedly to delay a flight for his wife, who had arrived at the airport late.
